Over a Decade of Experience

My name is Simon Cawthorne and I set up archiveresearchUK in 2006 as a document photography and research service for academics, authors, TV production, and UXO salvage companies. This can be as simple as photographing a pre-defined, pre-researched list of file references or as involved as a full-service research project and it means you can treat the UK’s unique array of archives as a single email away.

You Search, We Find

For many the thought of passing on part of their academic research may seem difficult – after all it’s your research. However, rather than paying for travel and accommodation for the sake of some pressured time at The National Archives, British Library or Imperial War Museum, hiring an archive photographer can turn that long list of files you’ve identified into images delivered directly to your computer for you to look through, work with, study and expand upon in your own time and at your own pace.

How It Works

If you have a list or need help working it what can work for you, please drop us a line and we can help. We take your list, give you an estimate, photograph it then send it straight to you
